Job overview

Band 6 Occupational Therapist, Thurrock Integrated Community Team (ICT) – 35 hours per week. An exciting opportunity to join an innovative and dynamic community service. You will be working closely with a friendly team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, rehabilitation assistants and will be committed to maintaining independence, promoting self‑care and assisting patients to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist holistic assessments and OT interventions.
  • Provide expert advice in clinical recommendations to both OT and MDT relating to the holistic provision of OT.
  • Support junior staff.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications
  • Occupational Therapist qualified.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • Community experience.
  • UK resident only.

Starting with NELFT

Nelft places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop‑in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
