Job summary

SolarWinds is seeking a Manager, Solutions Engineering to lead the UK & Ireland pre-sales team, focusing on the Core & Observability portfolio across SaaS and self-hosted options. You will guide a team of Solutions Engineers and Solutions Architects, partner with Sales leaders, and drive the technical pre-sales strategy.

As a frontline SE leader, you coach, hire, and develop talent, ensure high-quality discovery sessions, and navigate the sales cycle from discovery to proposals and value

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role.
• 3+ years leading a team of pre-sales professionals.
• Strong background in Observability, monitoring, or IT ops.
• Fluent English with excellent communication.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead UKI pre-sales in SolarWinds Core & Observability portfolio.
• Coach and develop SEs and Solutions Architects.
• Partner with Sales Directors and Account Executives to drive opportunities.
• Manage resources, priorities, and outcomes across the team.
• Represent SE team with cross-functional partners.
