Job summary

Joining Careers Education in Warrington is recruiting a childcare practitioner to deliver high‑quality Early Years experiences. You will observe, assess, and plan to support children's learning and development daily, in a nurturing nursery setting.

The role requires a Level 3 or higher DfE recognised qualification; you will complete a DBS check and work within safeguarding guidelines while collaborating with a friendly team and engaging with families.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant DfE recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 or above such as NNEB, NVQ or Early Years Educator.
• DBS Enhanced check required or current DBS certificate registered to update service.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, and plan effectively in order to deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care for children in the early years.
• Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources, and experiences offered to the children so they can access continuous provision, play, learn and develop.
• Safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children.
• Be aware of the signs of abuse and neglect and how to report these.
• Have a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage safeguarding and welfare requirements.
• Liaise with external agencies and parents to provide the best care for children.
• Work as part of a team, communicating effectively to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and support other team members.
