Working Hours
  • Schedule : 5 days per week
  • Shifts : 8-hour shifts
The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Room Leader to manage the daily operation, planning, and practice within a dedicated age-specific room. You will lead and mentor a small team, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safety for the children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & Manage : Oversee the day-to-day running of the room, including rotas, resource management, and documentation.
  • Curriculum & Practice : Plan, implement, and evaluate a stimulating EYFS-based curriculum that meets the individual needs of all children.
  • Team Leadership : Supervise, train, and motivate room staff, conducting regular supervisions and supporting their professional development.
  • Child Development : Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and observations.
  • Parent Partnership : Build strong, positive relationships with parents / carers, providing regular feedback on their child’s day and development.
  • Safety & Compliance : Ensure the room and its activities adhere to all safeguarding, health, and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working within an early years setting.
  • Demonstrable experience in a leadership or senior role (e.g., Room Leader, Third in Charge).
  • Thorough knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework, Safeguarding, and Child Protection procedures.
