Job summary

JEM Childcare Solutions Limited in Camden, City of London, is recruiting a Nursery Manager for a small, boutique setting. The role includes a 40-hour week and a salary around £40k with potential increases as occupancy grows. Excellent transport links and Tube access are highlighted.

The ideal candidate will lead the nursery, oversee occupancy, budgets, and staff, and drive community engagement while ensuring high standards of care and compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant)
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in early years, including 2 years’ in a management or team-leading role
• Experience leading or supporting Ofsted inspections
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety practices
• Experience managing nursery teams, occupancy, and budgets
• Deliver high-quality care and learning while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements

About our Clients

This established Nursery in Camden, small and boutique are seeking an experienced Manager or would consider a Nursery Deputy Manager who has been a deputy for a number of years and looking to branch out. The role requires support in growing the occupancy and team, and getting back into the community. Part of a small family run group. A 40 hour week with salary c£40k and potential increase after seeing occupancy growth. Great transport links, and walking distance from tube.

Requirements

Essential for the Nursery Manager Role

Level 3 or above Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant)

Minimum 4 years’ experience in early years, including 2 years’ in a management or team-leading role
