Job summary

Family First Nurseries Group is seeking a Deputy Manager for The Fordingbridge Day Nursery and Pre-School. This Permanent role is 40 hours per week, offering up to £31,720 per year depending on experience, plus 75% off nursery fees.

You will lead a friendly team, ensure the EYFS framework is met, and deliver high-quality care and education in a Grade II listed setting.

Level 3 childcare qualification is essential, with leadership and over 1 year in management preferred.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification – Essential
• Leadership experience – Essential
• Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years – Essential
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework – Essential
• Over 1 year’s experience in a management position – Desirable
• Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management – Desirable
• Experience passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
• Understand and ensure that the EYFS requirements are met throughout the nursery.
• Assist in managing medication administration and ensure care plans are up to date.
• Provide stimulating experiences and resources appropriate to age and development.
• Promote respect and credibility through effective communication and consistency.
• Inspire staff with creative ideas to achieve outstanding practice.
• Maintain accurate records relating to children and staff on the EYFS system.
• Undertake other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.

Responsibilities:

• Ensurethe safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at alltimes.

• Assistin managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensurecare plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with healthconditions.

• Promoterespect and credibility for this position through effective communicationskills, impartiality, and consistency.
