Job summary

The Kentish Town Day Nursery is seeking a Deputy Manager to help deliver high‑quality care and education in our London setting. The role requires a Level 3 Childcare qualification, leadership experience and over one year in the Early Years sector. This is a 40‑hour week with a salary of £37,650 per annum.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential.
• Leadershipexperience is essential.
• Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years is essential.
• Over 1 year’s experience in a management position is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor.
• Ensure EYFS requirements are met throughout the nursery.
• Assist in managing medication administration and care plans for health conditions.
• Provide stimulating experiences and resources appropriate to each child.
• Promote respect, credibility and effective communication.
• Inspire staff with creative ideas to achieve outstanding practice.
• Maintain accurate records on EYFS systems and files.
• Undertake other duties to ensure smooth nursery operation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensurethe safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at alltimes.
  
• Understandand ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFSare met throughout the nursery.
  
• Assistin managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensurecare plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with healthconditions.
  
• Ensurethat all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences,environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage ofdevelopment.
  
• Promoterespect and credibility for this position through effective communicationskills, impartiality, and consistency.

• Fulland relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
