The Kentish Town Day Nursery in London is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead a friendly team and maintain high-quality care and education for children in our nursery setting.

Salary £37,650 per annum, 40 hours per week, with a Level 3 Childcare qualification essential and leadership experience. Family First Group offers a comprehensive benefits package in a vibrant urban nursery environment.

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification – Essential.
• Leadership experience – Essential.
• Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years – Essential.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and regulatory requirements – Essential.
• Over 1 year’s experience in a management position – Desirable.
• Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership – Desirable.
• Experience of passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable.

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
• Understand and ensure EYFS requirements are met throughout the nursery.
• Assist in managing medication administration and up-to-date care plans.
• Ensure children receive stimulating experiences and appropriate environments.
• Promote respect and credibility through effective communication and consistency.
• Inspire staff with creative ideas to achieve outstanding practice.

Responsibilities:

• Ensurethe safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at alltimes.
  
• Understandand ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFSare met throughout the nursery.
  
• Assistin managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensurecare plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with healthconditions.
  
• Ensurethat all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences,environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage ofdevelopment.
  
• Promoterespect and credibility for this position through effective communicationskills, impartiality, and consistency.
  
• Inspirestaff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieveoutstanding practice.
  
• Maintainaccurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMansystem and on file.
  
• Undertakeany other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safetyand wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements:
