Family First Nurseries Group in Winchester is seeking a Deputy Manager for Woodhams Farm Day Nursery. You will oversee daily operations, support teaching staff, and ensure high standards of care and education within the EYFS framework.

The role requires a Level 3 Childcare qualification, leadership experience, and over one year in Early Years. Salary £34,000–£38,000 with a £2,000 welcome bonus and 40-hour week, plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor.
• Meet EYFS statutory framework requirements across the nursery.
• Assist in managing medication administration and care plans.
• Provide stimulating experiences and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Promote respect, credibility and effective communication.
• Inspire team with creative ideas to achieve outstanding practice.
• Maintain accurate records for children and staff.
• Undertake additional duties to ensure smooth nursery operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensurethe safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at alltimes.
• Understandand ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFSare met throughout the nursery.
• Assistin managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensurecare plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with healthconditions.
• Ensurethat all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences,environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage ofdevelopment.
• Promoterespect and credibility for this position through effective communicationskills, impartiality, and consistency.
• Inspirestaff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieveoutstanding practice.
• Maintainaccurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMansystem and on file.
• Undertakeany other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safetyand wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
