Job summary

The Fordingbridge Day Nursery and Pre-School, part of Family First Group, is seeking an enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our friendly team and help deliver high-quality care and education.

Role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with a salary up to £31,720 per year depending on experience, plus 75% off nursery fees. Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential and leadership experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification – Essential.
• Leadership experience – Essential.
• Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years – Essential.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and regulatory requirements – Essential.
• Over 1 year’s experience in a management position – Desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
• Ensure EYFS requirements are met throughout the nursery.
• Assist in managing medication administration and care plans for children or staff with health conditions.
• Provide stimulating, age-appropriate experiences, environments, and resources.
• Promote respect and credibility through effective communication and consistency.
• Inspire the staff team with new ideas to achieve outstanding practice.
• Maintain accurate records on Eyeman system and files.
• Undertake other duties to ensure smooth running of the nursery.

• Understandand ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFSare met throughout the nursery.
  
• Assistin managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensurecare plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with healthconditions.
