We are looking for a Nurse or Midwife Practitioner to join the clinical team in our unit in Birmingham South working 22.5 hours per week on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. A detailed shift pattern and salary information can be found in the further information section below.
About the role
As a Nurse or Midwife Practitioner you will provide high quality clinical care to our clients across a range of BPAS reproductive healthcare services including termination of pregnancy, STI testing & treatment, contraception & vasectomy. You\'ll be involved in all stages of the client pathway from consultation through to treatment & will work in all areas of the unit including theatre & recovery. This role will involve providing treatment & clinical information to clients both in person & over the phone.
About You
You will be a Registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or Midwife with active NMC registration and PIN. You will have clinical practice experience of at least 12 months & have a keen interest in sexual health and reproductive healthcare. Clinical knowledge and experience of safeguarding and Fraser/Gillick competencies are essential for this role.
With excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills you will be adept at caring for clients in a compassionate and empathetic way. You will also be comfortable using IT and Microsoft Packages including Outlook, Word and Microsoft Teams.
