Overview

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Clinical Unit Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in the Thetford, Norfolk area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.

This is a purpose built care home designed for older people requiring general or dementia residential and nursing care.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

Responsibilities
  • inspiring leadership to nursing and care colleagues and oversee the delivery of high quality clinical and pastoral care.
  • Be the home’s nurse expert and combine nursing skills with managerial and leadership skills.
  • Focus on residents with complex needs, adhering to the latest guidelines, taking far-reaching decisions and maintaining the highest levels of clinical governance, while regularly auditing practices and procedures.
  • Care plan development and assessments.
  • Look after all our residents alongside the team and offer personalised centred care.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing teams.
  • Good clinical skills.
  • Promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.
Salary and Benefits

The successful Unit Manager will receive an excellent salary of £50,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role for 40 hours a week working through day shifts.
