Are you passionate about creating delicious, high-quality food products from concept to launch? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented NPD Technologist to support the development of new and reformulated products. You’ll work hands-on in both kitchen and factory environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer expectations, technical standards and compliance requirements. Position type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 0830 - 1630

Pay range: £30,000 - £34,000

Breaks: 30 minutes unpaid

Responsibilities
  • Developing and trialling new recipes, ensuring they meet taste, texture, nutritional and cost targets
  • Coordinating kitchen and factory trials, documenting results and resolving formulation issues
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, labelling and retailer specifications
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Technical, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial) to deliver successful product launches
  • Maintaining accurate documentation including recipes, specifications and nutritional and allergen data
  • Supporting audits, customer meetings and technical queries
  • Managing nutritional testing, shelf-life evaluations and packaging development during the NPD cycle.
Qualifications
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or a related technical field
