Job summary

A healthcare recruitment agency is seeking a Specialist Non-Medical Prescriber to join a dedicated substance misuse team in Durham. This role involves supporting service users by conducting assessments, developing personalised prescribing plans, and managing Opiate Substitute Therapy. Ideal candidates will be Registered Nurses or Pharmacists with experience in substance misuse treatment and mental health prescribing. The position offers an hourly rate of £45.00, full-time hours from Monday to Friday, for a contract length of 6 months.

Job description

We are looking for a Specialist Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join a dedicated substance misuse team in Durham.

In this role, you will support service users with substance misuse needs by conducting assessments, developing personalised prescribing plans, and managing Opiate Substitute Therapy. Additional responsibilities include supervised consumption, community alcohol detoxifications, phlebotomy, and dry blood spot testing.

Hourly Rate: £45.00 per hour

Schedule: Full Time / Monday to Friday

Contract Length: 6 months

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Pharmacist with an NMP qualification.
  • Experience in substance misuse treatment and mental health prescribing.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding protocols and person-centred care.
