Job Description:

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and drive solutions, working closely with technical experts who are proud of their impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team managing complex and critical infrastructure that keeps the nation connected and protected 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician will provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution according to procedures and meeting contractual KPIs. The role involves working in a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

What you’ll do:

  • Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  • Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  • Action Service Requests.
  • Allocate/despatch tickets to technical support, field engineering, and other service providers.
  • Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  • Organise traffic management, coordinating with providers, control teams, and field resources.
  • Communicate with customers about network incidents.
  • Coordinate with utility companies regarding power issues affecting the network.

Who you are:

You have previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising across all levels.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
