Job summary

Advance Housing & Support Ltd. is recruiting a Female Waking Nights Support Worker in Sarisbury Green, Southampton, to support customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or mental health conditions. The role is 18 contracted hours per week, with night shifts Mon-Sun, including weekends and holidays.

You don’t need previous care experience; values and compassion matter. You’ll work with a supportive team, receive training, and have opportunities to progress within Advance.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required; values and compassion matter.
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Must be literate and numerate in English.
• Able to work every other weekend.
• Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night.
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Support with independent skills.
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required.
• Keeping up to date with your training.
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety.
• Supporting with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
