Job summary

Advance Housing & Support Ltd in Poole, Dorset is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to assist customers with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The role offers 36 or 18 contractual hours per week, with shifts from 10:30pm to 7am, and a salary of £25,016.30 or £12,508.15 per annum depending on hours.

You don’t need previous care experience; the emphasis is on values, compassion and reliability, with training provided and opportunities for career progression within Advance.

Qualifications

• Good at working on your own and within a team.
• Excellent at communicating with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Able to work every other weekends.
• Follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records.
• Literate and numerate in English.
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night.
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Support with independent skills.
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required.
• Keeping up to date with training.
• Regular checks on the customer to ensure safety.
• Domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
