Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Nightshift Manager to lead the overnight team, delivering replenishment and smooth store operations. You will prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse, and replenish shelves to ensure readiness for customers at opening. A strong focus on safety, performance, and coaching is essential.

You will manage performance and disciplinaries, schedule effectively, and ensure a compliant, high-standards environment on night shifts, with a premium on teamwork and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering outstanding customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Proven track record leading teams in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
• Operational leadership with responsibility for store operations in absence of senior managers.
• Experience meeting or exceeding KPIs across sales, availability, customer satisfaction, or colleague engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities, prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and restock shelves.
• Occasionally run a full store operation overnight, ensuring safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are excellent by morning so the store is ready to serve customers.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay.
