Job summary

Sainsbury's in the United Kingdom is seeking a Nightshift Store Manager to lead overnight replenishment and keep operations running smoothly. You’ll manage a team, prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and ensure shelves are stocked for morning service.

You’ll be responsible for the full shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues, coaching your team to achieve KPIs, handling performance issues and ensuring accurate scheduling and pay.

Qualifications

• Brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment — you’ve motivated others and kept operations running smoothly.
• Operational leadership in the absence of senior managers.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction, colleague engagement).
• Experience handling employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
• Desirable night shift experience in high-volume, operational environments with a safe, supportive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team overnight to deliver replenishment across the store, prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and replenish shelves.
• Run full store operations overnight, taking responsibility for the shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are brilliant by morning to serve customers.
• Manage performance and capability, conduct disciplinaries and ensure scheduling and pay accuracy.
