Job summary

CML (Part of the Culina Group) is hiring a Transport Support Operator to join the Telford Transport team on a full-time permanent basis. The role focuses on debriefing drivers daily and providing general administration support to the Transport team.

Working hours are 4 on 4 off nights (6pm–6am). The salary is £27,119 per annum plus a £1,000 attendance bonus, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, communication, and teamwork within a busy logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• Good computer literacy, especially MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina's document management system.
• Preparing drivers wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated times of arrival (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.
