Job summary

CML (Part of the Culina Group) is seeking a Transport Support Operator to join the Telford Transport team on a full-time permanent basis. The role involves debriefing drivers daily and providing admin support to the Transport team.

Salary is £27,119 per year, plus a £1,000 attendance bonus. Working hours are 4 on 4 off nights, 6pm–6am. Benefits include annual leave, pension, life assurance, wellness support, eye care vouchers, and employee recognition programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers on a daily basis.
• Check all timesheets for correct completion and ensure PODs are returned.
• Scan and store PODs using Culina’s document management system.
• Prepare drivers’ wallets and issue delivery notes in drop sequence.
• Print despatch notes and replenish despatch paper as required.
• Answer the telephone and assist with enquiries.
• Ensure ETAs are communicated to Customer Services.
• Update spreadsheets (change-overs, run summaries, trailer check sheets).
• Depart loads using the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.

We have a great opportunity for a Transport Support Operator to join our Telford Transport team on a full time permanent basis!

This position is responsible for debriefing drivers on a daily basis alongside providing general administration support to the Transport team.

Salary:£27,119 per annum, plus £1,000 attendance bonus.

Key Duties of aTransport Support Operator:

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
