Job summary

Blue Triangle in Glasgow city centre is seeking a night shift Support Worker for Somerset Place to provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25 with care-experienced backgrounds and trauma histories.

You will work 24 hours per week on a rolling 4‑week rota with shifts 9pm–5am and 11:15pm–7:15am, delivering practical and emotional support and coordinating with the person’s support plan. Experience with vulnerable people, empathy, and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• Ideally 1 year experience with vulnerable people or challenging behaviour.
• Commitment to care practice per SSSC/NCS and organisational policies.
• Ability to work flexibly and as a lone worker.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Work 24 hours per week on a 4-week rolling rota, including some weekends.
• Provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people.
• Support, review and monitor through case management to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain and update recording systems in line with policies.
• Plan and facilitate key work meetings and reviews with the person’s support plan.
• Provide advocacy and guidance to enable occupancy conditions.
