Job summary

Blue Triangle Limited in East Kilbride is recruiting a Support Worker to help provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for people experiencing homelessness. You will deliver practical and emotional support, encouraging personal goals and daily living independence.

The role requires rota coverage including night shifts and some weekends, 33.25 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of £24,479 per annum. Training and career development are supported, including SVQ3 funding and CPD.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• Ideally 1 year experience with vulnerable people.
• Commitment to SSSC code of practice and National Care Standards.
• Ability to relate empathetically to people and respect their choice and independence.
• Ability to work flexibly and as a lone worker.
• Competent use of Microsoft or equivalent applications.
• Willingness to pursue SVQ3 while in role.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people.
• Support, review and monitor via case management to achieve positive person-centred outcomes.
• Maintain and update all recording systems and documentation within required timeframes.
• Plan and facilitate key work meetings and reviews with the person’s support plan.
• Provide general advocacy and advice to help people meet occupancy conditions.
