The role is a night shift Support Worker (24 hours per week) serving eight young people aged 16–25, with an empathetic, trauma-informed approach to build trust and promote positive outcomes.

As a Support Worker, you’ll work as part of a team in providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for the people who use our services. You’ll do this by providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives. Somerset Place are looking for a night shift Support Worker to work with 8 young people (aged 16-25) who live in the service. The young people are from a care experienced background and often have experienced complex trauma. There is a focus on building positive relationships with young people and in supporting them to achieve positive outcomes. Given young peoples experiences there is a need to have an empathetic and trauma informed approach.
This Support Worker Nights role at our Somerset Place service in Glasgow city centre involves working 24 hours per week worked over a 4 week rolling rota, including some weekends. The specific shift times for this role are 9pm-5am and 11:15pm-7:15am.The Support Worker will:
