Job summary

Blue Triangle in Glasgow is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help provide safe, supported accommodation for people who experience homelessness. You will work as part of a team, offering practical and emotional support, with weekly keyworking, reviews and risk assessments.

This Holland Street service is 24/7, requiring night shifts and a rolling 4-week rota. This role demands empathy, flexibility and the ability to use case management systems; SVQ level 2+ and willingness to develop are

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• Ideally, 1 year of experience with vulnerable people (personal, voluntary or professional).
• Commitment to care practice in line with SSSC code of practice and National Care Standards.
• Ability to relate empathetically and respect choice and independence.
• Flexible and able to work as a lone worker.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ideally hold SVQ level 2+ and willing to work towards SVQ3.

Responsibilities

• Night shifts on a rota that includes weekend work.
• Work 24 hours per week across 3x8 hour shifts on a 4 week rolling rota.
• Support, review, monitor and evaluate through case management for person-centred outcomes.
• Maintain and update recording systems and occupancy documentation within required timeframes.
• Plan and facilitate key work meetings and reviews with the person’s support plan.
• Provide advocacy and guidance to enable compliance with occupancy agreements.
