Job summary

Blue Triangle Housing Association Limited is seeking a Support Worker for our Holland Street service in Glasgow. You will provide practical and emotional support, enabling service users to achieve personal outcomes within safe, secure accommodation.

The role includes 3x8 hour night shifts on a rolling rota and 24/7 emergency access for young adults aged 16–35. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping people, with about 1 year of experience with vulnerable individuals, and be

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• Ideally 1 year experience with vulnerable people (personal, voluntary or professional).
• Commitment to care practice per SSSC code of practice and National Care Standards.
• Able to relate empathetically and respect client choice and independence.
• Able to work flexibly and as a lone worker.
• Willing to work towards SVQ3.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people as part of a team.
• Carry out regular reviews and risk assessments; weekly key working.
• Maintain and update recording systems and documentation within required timeframes.
• Plan, facilitate key work meetings and reviews aligned with support plans.
• Provide advocacy and advice to enable occupiers to meet occupancy conditions.
