Job summary

Sainsbury's in the United Kingdom is seeking a Nightshift Manager to lead a store overnight, prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and replenish shelves while hands-on with the team.

You’ll manage a full shift solo when required, ensure safety and wellbeing, drive KPI performance, handle disciplinaries and scheduling, and deliver outstanding customer service by morning.

The role is full-time over four nights (22:00–08:00) with a £4,500 premium on top of base pay.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering excellent customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, motivating others and keeping operations running smoothly.
• Operational leadership—taking responsibility for store operations in absence of senior managers.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs such as sales, availability, and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.

Responsibilities

• Lead overnight replenishment activities and prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and replenish shelves.
• Run a full store operation overnight when needed, ensuring safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are high on arrival and that the store is ready for customers in the morning.
• Coach and manage team performance, handle disciplinaries and scheduling to ensure accuracy.
