Job summary

Sainsbury’s is hiring a nightshift manager to lead an overnight team, ensuring replenishment, prioritising deliveries and organising the warehouse. You’ll be responsible for the full shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues, preparing for the morning trade.

You’ll drive customer service excellence, coaching your team to maintain high standards, while managing performance, disciplinaries and payroll in a fast-paced environment. A £4,500 premium enhances the base salary for night shifts.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership, taking responsibility in the absence of more senior managers.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction, engagement).
• Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
• Desirable - night shift experience in a high-volume, operational environment with a safe, supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Lead an overnight team to deliver replenishment, prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and replenish shelves.
• Oversee full store operation overnight and ensure safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Maintain high standards so the store is ready for customers in the morning.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling and payroll.
