Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking an experienced Nightshift Manager to lead overnight replenishment and store operations. You will organise the warehouse, prioritise deliveries, and ensure shelves are stocked so the store is ready for customers by morning.

You will manage and coach colleagues, drive KPI performance, and handle disciplinary and payroll tasks when necessary. The role is full-time, with a £4,500 premium on base salary for night shifts (typically 22:00–08:00).

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering excellent customer service and coaching others to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with measurable performance.
• Operational leadership with responsibility for store operations when senior managers are absent.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction, colleague engagement).
• Experience managing employee relations issues including performance and absence management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team overnight to deliver replenishment and prioritise deliveries, organising the warehouse and stocking shelves.
• Oversee full store operations overnight, ensuring safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are maintained so the store is ready for customers in the morning.
• Coach and manage colleagues, monitor performance, and handle scheduling and payroll as needed.
