Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is seeking an experienced Nightshift Manager to lead an overnight team responsible for replenishment, warehouse coordination and shelving. You will work 22:00–08:00 on a full-time shift, ensuring safe conditions and high standards as the store prepares for morning trading.

Your role involves coaching colleagues, managing performance, and overseeing disciplinary processes while ensuring KPI targets are met and operations run smoothly through the night.

Qualifications

• Nightshift management experience in fast-paced stores.
• Previous line management responsibilities.
• Ability to handle disciplinaries and employee relations.
• Comfortable with nightshift working and safety of colleagues.
• Proven coaching to deliver brilliant customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight replenishment and store operations, prioritise deliveries and organise the warehouse.
• Lead a team overnight and ensure safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Maintain brilliant standards for morning readiness and customer service.
• Manage performance, capability, and scheduling; monitor pay accuracy.
• Deliver and monitor KPIs related to sales, availability and customer satisfaction.
• Handle disciplinary issues and other employee relations matters.
• Take ownership of store operations in the absence of senior management.
