Job summary

Sainsbury's is recruiting a Nightshift Manager in the United Kingdom. You will lead an overnight team to deliver replenishment across the store, prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse and replenishing shelves.

You will be responsible for the full shift, safeguarding colleagues and ensuring standards are excellent for the morning service. The role emphasises people management, performance coaching and reliable scheduling and pay.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and driving performance.
• Operational leadership when senior managers are absent.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction).
• Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
• Desirable: night shifts in high-volume, operational environment with safe, supportive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead an overnight team to deliver replenishment across the store, prioritising deliveries and organising the warehouse.
• Oversee full store operation overnight and take responsibility for safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are maintained so the store is ready to serve customers in the morning.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries and scheduling to ensure accurate pay.
