Job summary

Sainsburys is seeking an overnight nightshift manager to lead a small team of managers across a 22:00–08:00 shift, delivering replenishment for customers and ensuring safety and high standards. The role requires influencing KPIs, coaching teams, and managing performance and absence.

You'll be responsible for planning around key trading activities and leading day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency, inclusivity, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proven success delivering and improving KPIs across operations.
• Experience managing performance, absence and employee relations cases.
• Leadership in retail/hospitality/food service with ownership of departmental performance.
• Able to lead change and embed new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overnight managers and replenishment activities for the morning.
• Plan for upcoming trading events with store leadership.
• Manage pay, scheduling, training and employee relations like disciplinaries.
• Be accountable for store overnight operations and safety of the team.
• Oversee health and safety for all colleagues on shift.
