Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Lead Nightshift Manager to supervise a team of managers overnight and ensure replenishment readiness for the morning. You will work closely with the store leadership group to plan for events and drive high standards across the shop floor.

The role requires managing pay, schedules, training and employee relations, while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment. Night shifts run 22:00–08:00 with a £4,500 premium on top of base salary.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proven track record delivering exceptional customer experiences through teams.
• Experience delivering and improving KPIs across sales, stock, and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing sensitive people matters with fairness and good judgement.
• Leadership in an operational retail/hospitality environment with ownership of performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead overnight team of managers to complete all replenishment activities for the morning.
• Plan for key trading events with store leadership team.
• Manage pay, scheduling, training and employee relations including disciplinary processes.
• Own overnight store operations and drive high standards and efficiency.
• Ensure health and safety for all colleagues on shift.
