Job description

We are recruiting for a leading and prestigious Food Service Company based in Downham Market. Due to their continued growth and development, they are seeking to employ a Night Shift Order Picker to start asap.

Reporting directly to Supervisor/Shift Manager.

Hours & Shifts

7pm until finish on a 4-day rota.

Finishing time varies between 1am and 6am depending on workload.

Averaging 32 hours a week at the moment.

There are three teams whose rosters vary, for example:

  • Week One: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
  • Week Two: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday
  • Week Three: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Ongoing work potentially leading to permanent for the right candidate.

Pay rate is £13.58 an hour.

Purpose of the role

To pick and process customer orders, ensuring that they are picked accurately, at the correct quality and quantity in a safe manner.

This position reports directly to the Supervisor or Shift Manager but may necessitate working with all departments and personnel within the business.

Duties include but are not limited to
  • To pick customer orders, ensuring all orders are picked accurately and to the correct quality and quantity in a timely manner.
  • Work in a team.
  • Able to lift up to 25 kilos.
  • To ensure responsible compliance with all Health and Safety legislation, advising your manager of deviations or potential deviations that may occur.
  • To assist in the application of the HACCP function of the business in the shift you are responsible for, ensuring that the quality and food safety systems in place are adhered to, enabling the company to maintain its accreditation status and comply with current legislation.
