Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson is looking for a confident Night Receptionist to deliver a professional, welcoming reception at a secure mental health site. You’ll work 42 hours weekly, 6pm–6am on a rota including alternate weekends, in a lone-working role that supports patient and staff safety.

Essential requirements include receptionist/administration experience, strong organisation, GCSEs in Maths and English, and good IT skills (Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook). A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience liaising with customers/clients at reception or administration.
• GCSE Maths and English with good numeracy and literacy.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience.
• Greet visitors, notify staff on arrival and manage sign in/out.
• Answer and transfer calls, take messages as needed.
• Sort, post and support general office duties.
• Keep reception area tidy and ensure security protocols are followed.
