Job summary

The Celtic Collection is seeking a Night Porter at Coldra Court Hotel in Newport. The role is permanent, based in the Front Office, and involves night shifts with a 37.5 hour week. The hourly rate is £12.98, reflecting entry-level to mid-level hospitality duties and a strong guest-service focus.

You will deliver a warm welcome, assist guests with requests such as room service and luggage, perform safety checks, and support the Night Manager to keep the hotel secure and guest-centric overnight.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a warm and professional welcome to guests arriving or departing during the night.
• Assisting with guest requests, including room service, luggage handling, and general enquiries.
• Conducting regular floor walks, fire safety checks, and maintaining cleanliness/presentation of public areas.
• Supporting the Night Manager with operations and ensuring the hotel remains secure and guest-focused overnight.
• Completing the night porter checklist and keeping meeting spaces and storerooms tidy.
