Job summary

The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport is seeking a Casual Conference Porter to support our Conference and Banqueting team with event setup, guest assistance and smooth operations across venues. You’ll be on your feet in a fast-paced, hands-on role, collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional service during gala dinners, conferences and banquets at our resort.

Applicants should have customer-facing experience, strong communication, and basic IT skills.

• Experience in a customer-facing role.

• Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet.
• Experience within a hotel or events environment.
• Stock or parcel control experience.

• Setting up and breaking down meeting and banqueting spaces to our high resort standards.
• Supporting guests and clients with equipment or parcel movement.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented working environment.
• Looking after C&B equipment and reporting any issues promptly.
• Working closely with your team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Attending training, briefings and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Promoting resort facilities through excellent knowledge and communication.
