Job summary

The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington, part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK, is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to assist the Night Manager in completing night audit procedures accurately while maintaining safety and smooth operations during the night shift.

Key responsibilities include deputising for the Night Manager, overseeing Front of House, managing staffing across departments, supporting Night Auditors, and ensuring high service standards and efficient nightly procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deputising for the Night Manager in their absence and overseeing Front of House Operations during the night shift.
• Managing Front Office activities and ensuring adequate staffing levels across all operational departments including Reception, Concierge, Security, Room Service, Engineering, Switchboard and Food & Beverage outlets.
• Supporting the Night Auditors and Reception team to maintain high service standards and operational excellence.
• Monitoring room inventory, room allocations and hotel occupancy to maximise room revenue and minimise overbooking risks.
• Assisting with night audit procedures, ensuring all rates, market segments, nationalities and financial transactions are correctly recorded.
• Managing VIP arrivals, guest requests, complaints and service recovery to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Maintaining sufficient operational supplies and ensuring all nightly procedures are completed efficiently.
• Ensuring a comprehensive handover is completed at the end of each shift.
