Job summary

The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is seeking a full-time Shift Leader to oversee Reception operations. You will supervise up to two staff, manage End of Day processes, and handle guest enquiries with professional liaison to the Manager.

You will ensure efficient guest check-in, room allocations for groups, and awareness of VIP arrivals and events. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate billing and credit procedures, coordinating handovers, and supporting inter-departmental

Qualifications

• Experience leading a reception team in a hotel environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Reception operation with up to two staff at a time.
• Ensure End of Day processes, group balances and room accounts are accurate.
• Handle guest enquiries, complaints and liaise with the Manager as needed.
• Register guests efficiently and assign rooms per Department standards.
• Manage VIPs, late arrivals, No Shows and cancelled reservations.
• Oversee room allocations for Group Arrivals and monitor daily activities.
• Ensure handover procedures and daily briefings are followed.
