Job summary

The Bedford Hotel Belfast is seeking a Night Guest Service Assistant to support overnight operations and ensure a warm, secure environment for guests.

You will assist the manager on duty with check-ins/check-outs, deliver high standards of service, and contribute to smooth handovers between day and night teams in a boutique hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Previous night role within hospitality is advantageous.
• High standard of customer service.
• Experience with a Property Management System is advantageous, e.g., OPERA.
• Excellent communication and ability to work as part of a small team.
• Ability to work independently and show initiative.
• Flexibility to work night shifts across the week, including weekends (typical 23:00–07:30).

Responsibilities

• Support night operations, ensuring effective handover with the manager on duty.
• Work with the team to maintain standards and complete tasks during the shift.
• Provide a warm, professional welcome; assist with check-in, check-out, and late-night enquiries.
• Ensure safety and security of guests, staff, and property through communication and checks.
• Assist with cash handling and night audit procedures as required.
• Comply with all H&S regulations and prepare the hotel for the next day.

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, seeks a skilled Night Guest Service Assistant who thrives in a luxury hospitality setting.

Role Responsibilities:

As Night Guest Service Assistant, you will assist the manager on duty with the hotel’s overnight operations, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and that the hotel remains secure.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting all night operations, ensuring effective communication with the manager on duty to assist with a smooth handover between day and night teams.
• Working as part of a team to maintain standards and efficiently complete tasks throughout the shift.
• Providing a warm and professional welcome to all guests, assisting with check-in, check-out and any late night enquiries or issues, as required.
• Ensuring the safety and security of all guests, staff, and property through effective communication, assisting with regular checks and adherence to company procedures.
• Assisting with elements of cash handling and night audit procedures, as requested.
• Ensuring compliance with all H&S regulations.
• Completing tasks as required to ensure that the hotel is ready for the next day’s operations.
• Assisting the manager on duty in handling any incidents or emergencies calmly and efficiently, following company policy.
• Supporting food and beverage service overnight, where necessary.
• Carrying out cleaning duties and preparing dining/meeting space, as required.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a night role within the hospitality industry is advantageous.
• High standard of customer service.
• Experience of a Property Management System is advantageous, e.g., OPERA
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team..
• Ability to work independently, showing initiative and reliability.
• Flexibility to work night shifts across the week, including weekends. Typical shift times are 2300-0730.
