Job summary

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, a prestigious boutique hotel in the heart of Belfast, is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join the Bar and Restaurant team. You will contribute to delivering exceptional service and guest satisfaction across breakfast, lunch and dinner services.

Ideal candidates will have previous F&B experience, a warm personality, and strong teamwork skills. Training and career progression opportunities are offered in a supportive hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage experience, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills.
• Flexibility – to work different shift patterns and weekends.
• A warm and friendly personality.
• Good teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day service within the Bar and Restaurant.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure accurate communication to kitchen and bar.
• Maintain high standards of restaurant and back-of-house cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure cash, charge, float and till procedures are followed.
• Familiarise yourself with the menu and information about offerings to answer guest questions.
• Prepare back-of-house service points for breakfast, lunch or dinner as necessary.
• Maintain professional working relationships with all hotel departments.

With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining room, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

AsaFood & BeverageAssistant,you willbe responsible fortheday-to-dayservicewithin the Bar andRestaurant,ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered andalwaysmaintainedin line with our guest expectations.

• Assistin creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
• Tobe responsible forthe service and wellbeing of our guests.
• Toassistin the set up and closedown of theBar &Restaurant.
• Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may have.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately.
• Ensure that the preparation and presentation of each section is of a highstandard andis in line with the standards set.
• Maintain a high standard of Restaurant and back of house cleanliness and hygiene practices.
• Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed procedures
• Prepare all back of house service pointswith regard toexpected numbers for breakfast,lunchor dinnerrequirementsas necessary.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel.
