Job summary

The Bedford Hotel Belfast is seeking a friendly, hospitality-driven bartender to join its Ledger Library team for Friday and Saturday shifts. You will craft beverages, deliver warm service, and help maintain the bar's high standards in a boutique setting.

Expect to work in a busy hotel environment with training and opportunities to develop mixology skills. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous bar service experience, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Mixology experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills.
• Shifts - availability to cover Friday and Saturday from 1500-2330.
• A warm and friendly personality.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Have a genuine interest in providing exceptional hospitality service to our guests.
• Standards driven.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
• Complete the set up and close down of the bar, including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies.
• Ensure that the preparation and presentation of each section is of a high standard and is in line with the standards set.
• Familiarise yourself with the beverage menus, providing knowledgeable and creative drink recommendations to guests.
• Take beverage orders and ensure that they are communicated to the bar promptly and accurately.
• Maintain a high standard of restaurant and back of house cleanliness and hygiene practices.
• Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed procedures.
• Ensure all beverages are prepared consistently and to the standards expected.
• Create cocktails following mixology guides in place, ensuring consistency and uniformity.
• Assist in The Nineteen Hundred Restaurant and Cafe Bar, as required.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel.
• Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager.

The Bedford Hotel Belfast is a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, The Nineteen Hundred Restaurant and Cafe Bar, and exclusive private dining in The Ledger Library. The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day service within the Ledger Library providing exceptional service to our residents and VIPs on a Friday and Saturday.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
