Job summary

Night Carer – Yarm Area
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (2-3 days per week)
Location: Yarm

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Night Carer to support a gentleman in Yarm. This role involves ensuring his safety and wellbeing overnight, assisting him if needed, and helping with his morning routine, including personal care such as showering and dressing.

Optional Daytime Social Call
Alongside the night shift, there is an optional short day shift from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM. This involves providing companionship and conversation, and encouraging the client to engage in enjoyable activities such as going for a walk, playing games, or listening to music.

What we’re looking for

  • Someone empathetic yet confident in gently redirecting the client when necessary.
  • A responsible individual who can use their initiative and make independent decisions.
  • Positive energy and the ability to motivate and encourage engagement in routines and activities.
  • Reliability, trustworthiness, and a sensitive approach to care.

Desirable experience

  • Knowledge of dementia and Parkinson’s care is an advantage but not essential.
