Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective rehabilitative patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team within the mental health inpatient wards.
  • Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, ensuring high standards of clinical care with professional and legal accountability.
  • Independently manage clinical needs and prioritisation across your caseload.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, utilising clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice.
  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate personalised intervention and management plans along with discharge planning.
  • Provide holistic physiotherapy management, considering the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.
  • Assess, demonstrate, and prescribe equipment to aid mobility, ensuring its safe use.
  • Implement highly developed handling skills for patients with complex conditions.
  • Work effectively within the team, maintaining visibility and accessibility to patients, relatives, and colleagues.
  • Be involved in Quality Improvement projects and ensure effective communication with patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Qualified physiotherapist with a degree or equivalent within physiotherapy.
  • Recent UK experience in specialised physiotherapy.
  • Registered with the HCPC as a physiotherapist to work in the UK.
  • NHS experience is advantageous but not essential.
