Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) - Primary Schools - Doncaster

Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable classroom experience within primary schools across Doncaster?

Academics are working closely with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools, offering flexible, temporary ongoing opportunities that allow you to build confidence, develop your teaching practice, and explore the year groups that suit you best.

Position: Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT)

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)

Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that works for you

About the Role

As a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) working on supply in Doncaster, you will teach across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in a variety of supportive primary school settings. This role is ideal for newly qualified teachers who want to gain broad primary experience, develop strong classroom management skills, and build confidence without the immediate commitment of a permanent role.

You will receive support both in school and from your dedicated Academics consultant throughout all placements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Newly qualified or currently completing ECT induction
• A positive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
