Job summary

Universal Business Team in Dundee is seeking a driven New Business Development Manager to secure new customers across Dundee and the wider Tayside region. You will nurture accounts through onboarding and early growth, shaping Scotland's commercial expansion with ambitious growth plans.

The role offers a £45k–£55k base, £10k bonus, company car/allowance, and a strong pension programme. You'll build and maintain long-term customer relationships, identify opportunities via networking and referrals,

Qualifications

• Experience within packaging, industrial consumables, manufacturing, distribution, or a related B2B environment.
• Proven track record of delivering new business growth and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, and account development skills.
• Experience using CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
• Commercial awareness, resilience, and a self-motivated approach.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target, and win new customers across Dundee and surrounding areas.
• Develop and execute a territory growth plan aligned to business objectives.
• Generate opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, social selling, and industry engagement.
• Build strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.
• Present tailored proposals, negotiate commercial agreements, and secure profitable business.
• Manage onboarding and account development for newly acquired customers.
• Maintain CRM accuracy, pipeline visibility, and forecast reporting.
• Work closely with operations, procurement, customer service, and commercial teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
