Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager in Stevenage to drive new business across the UK and manage key accounts. The role offers a salary of £40,000–£50,000 DOE plus £5,000–£15,000 OTE, with hybrid working and a range of benefits.

You will build and maintain relationships with local businesses, work with the marketing team to generate pipeline, and contribute to the company’s growth during an exciting expansion period.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in Business Development, Area Sales or Technical Sales.
• Genuine hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business.
• Packaging industry experience desirable; or experience in a similar B2B sector.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, driven and comfortable managing your own territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business across the UK (location-dependent).
• Achieve a new business target of around £250,000.
• Target local businesses with typical spend of £25,000–£40,000.
• Work with the marketing team while building your own pipeline.
• Build long-term customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Develop new accounts and become a key contact for customers.
• Play a role in the expansion with opportunities to make your mark within the business.

This is a newly created role and represents a genuine investment into the continued growth of the business. They are looking for a high performing Business Development Manager who thrives on winning new business, opening new accounts and developing long-term commercial relationships.

The Role

• Drive new business across the UK also dependent on location.
• Achieve a new business target of around £250,000
• Target local businesses with a typical spend of around £25,000 - £40,000
• Work closely with an experienced marketing team while building your own pipeline through proactive business development
• Build long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for sustainable growth

Requirements

• Proven track record in Business Development, Area Sales or Technical Sales

• Candidates who understand the Food, Industrial, chemical, furniture and other related markets are highly desirable
