About the role
CIBSE has a fantastic opportunity for a Networks and Engagement Coordinator (Groups) to join the Membership department and support the Senior Networks and Engagement Managers in supporting and developing the CIBSE special interest groups and Societies.
What you will do
- Ensuring that governance requirements are adhered to by the CIBSE special interest groups and societies.
- Providing operational support to the Groups and Societies committee.
- Providing operational support to the EDI Panel and its subcommittees as required.
- Facilitating activities to grow special interest group and society membership.
- Responding to enquiries regarding special interest groups and societies.
- Processing society membership applications.
- Building good working relationships within volunteer networks across the UK and internationally and working with the Senior Networks and Engagement Managers to support the steering committees in delivering their objectives.
- Providing administration support for the CIBSE special interest groups and societies, which may include:
- responding to general enquiries via email and telephone.
- maintaining and updating the CIBSE website.
- updating and maintaining member details on the CRM.
- collating and preparing papers for committee meetings and ad hoc virtual meetings or working groups.
- providing updates to other departments on news and activities of these networks to allow for promotion and cross‑department working.
- Attending occasional events across the UK supporting the Senior Networks and Engagement Managers as required.
- Supporting Groups and Societies with their social media postings and other engagement activities.
- Undertaking any other duties as requested by the Senior Networks and Engagement Managers, Head of Networks and Engagement or Director of Membership.

What you will need to be successful
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment, dealing with enquiries with tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written skills.
- Good working knowledge of pc software, Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Confident and self-motivated.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with good personal organisation and time management skills.
- Experience of giving accurate advice via telephone and email.
- Experience of membership organisations.
- Experience of organising events.
- Experience of working with committees.
- Educated to degree level.
- Experience of working in an international environment.

30,000 - 30,000 GBP per year (Head Office)
