A leading tech company based in Greater London is seeking a Network Security Engineer to manage security solutions and collaborate with network teams. A Network Security Engineer works closely with Network Engineers from other areas of the network. As Network Security Engineer you will be working with next generation firewalls, DoS and DDoS mitigation solutions, security reporting tools. Working with change control, you'll be reviewing and approving proposals, designs submitted by your peers and other network engineers. You will have a hands‑on approach on security policies in general, and experience with enforcement to benefit both users and the internet. As a first point of contact for vendors, you will be working with external parties to help improve and fine tune security solutions.
The team is under the Comms & Infrastructure area, sitting within Enterprise Operations. Despite its location, it is closely working with the Telco / Broadband teams as well. The team is made up of four network engineers with a technical team lead, supporting firewalls, IPS/IDS, AAA and VPN solutions along with DoS and DdoS mitigation infrastructure.
