Network Operations Specialist (Previous Relevant Experience Required), Bedford

This role at Telent offers you the opportunity to join our Engineering Team, where you'll be empowered to innovate and develop solutions in a high-performing environment. You'll work closely with technical experts to support the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and protection 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Center) Technician will provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, assisting in incident resolution and ensuring adherence to procedures and KPIs. The role involves working on a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
2. Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
3. Action Service Requests.
4. Allocate and dispatch tickets to support and engineering teams, and other service providers.
5. Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
6. Organize traffic management, coordinating with providers and regional teams.
7. Communicate with customers about network incidents.
8. Coordinate with utility companies regarding power-related network issues.

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience supporting enterprise and service provider networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:

• Experience with 1st line diagnostics and incident resolution.
• Strong communication skills, capable of liaising at all seniority levels.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
